Ayurveda is an ancient healing science, known as the science of life.
The aim of Ayurveda is to create emotional & physical health and to cure
diseases. Most traditional therapies mask symptoms, while Ayurveda
removes the root cause of disease.
The greatest contribution of India to the world is her spiritual
science. No civilization, however old it is, has ever attained the level
of sophistication reached by the yogis and siddhas of India. The yogis
and siddhas paid equal attention to the bodily existence while one is
alive and also the disembodied existence after one dies. They also had
knowledge of soul travel (out of body experience) while still in
embodiment. They were the originators of the health science known as
Ayurveda. This ancient healing art is thousands of years old, and the
laws that govern it, are still valid and effective today.
Ayurveda, is a natural healing system that originated over 7,000 years ago, in
India. Ayurveda was originally known to have been first developed and
established by the great sages and rishis who developed India's original systems
of meditation and Yoga, the spiritual sciences. The study of Ayurveda includes
herbal medicine, dietetics, body work, surgery, psychology, and spirituality. It
not only deals with medical science, but also with the social, ethical,
intellectual, emotional, and spiritual life of people. According to Ayurveda, a
living creature is composed of soul, mind, and body. Unlike traditional
medicine, Ayurveda does not offer a band aide to cover up the disease.
Instead, it goes to the Root Cause of disease, which is the imbalances from life
style, food, stress, toxins, or over work. Ayurveda is a natural antidote
to disease as well as a powerful healer of stress. It can be applied to a
wide range of diseases, as well as to emotional and mental issues.

The 3 Doshas Elements That Animals & Plants Are Made Of:
The human body is composed of the
3 fundamental elements called doshas. These
doshas are basic
elements in nature such as sharpness and heat (Fire - Pitta); coldness and
dryness (Air - Vata); and dampness and heaviness (Earth - Kapha). These
elements are found in all cells, and in living organism such as plants, and
all animals, including man. When these elements go out of balance, disease
occurs. The doshas govern the physio-chemical and physiological activities
of the body. These three elements are said to be in a dynamic equilibrium
with each other for the maintenance of health. Any imbalances of the doshas
can result in diseases, depression, anxiety, and insomnia.
All disease originates in the mind first. Then, the digestive system, and
finally there is an over flow of the imbalance into the
blood, lymph, and the organs and systems. Disease will then occur as a
result of imbalances in the elements in the mind and then the body follows.
The part that becomes ill, represents the weak spots for that particular
person, animal, or plant. This imbalance is usually reversible through
How The 3 Doshas Affect The Body:
When The Doshas Are Out Of Balance Dis-ease
Creates Fear, Anxiety, Memory Loss, & Worry
(Insomnia). Arthritis and movement issues, dryness in the body leading
to disease, constipation, dry skin, death. Vata
Imbalance: Creates tremors, dryness, wrinkles, irregularities, Alzheimer's, spasms,
hair loss, thinning of bones, constipation and gas. - Dryness,
mobility, coldness, light. Vata affects mobility, and causes more
disease then the other two doshas. Vata causes, spasms and tremors,
dryness, cramps, and blockages. (The Air and Ether elements)..
Creates Excess Intensity & Anger (Addictions,
Workaholism, & Rage Issues). All inflammations, infections, parasites, bacteria,
viruses in the body, ulcers, rheumatoid arthritis, colitis, and all 'itis'
illnesses, where inflammation is present. Diarrhea, acne, any heat rash, fungus,
high blood pressure. Too much heat in the body burns organs and systems.
Pitta Imbalance: Creates fevers, all inflammatory conditions, red skin
rashes, rheumatoid arthritis, all infections such as bacteria, fungus, viral
infections (accept yeast), sinus infections, burning ulcers, pimples, excessive
bleeding, heat related diseases, and diarrhea. Fire, heat, sharpness, oily,
light. Pitta causes infections and inflammations, the only exception is
yeast infections which are kapha in nature. Most diseases have some
inflammatory aspect to them...including joint, muscle, blood, and organ disease
... When the name of a disease has 'itis' at the end such as Bursitis, it
means that pitta is causing inflammations and infections (the Fire element).
Creates Lethargy, Sluggishness, & Attachment (Trouble With Accepting Change &
Attachment To Material Things, Over Indulgence In Food, & Depression). Tumors,
growths, yeast infections, weight gain, and difficult weight losses.
Blockages in the system or organs, cholesterol issues, sluggish circulatory
system and heart issues, stagnated energy. The system backs up, slows, and
Kapha Imbalance: Creates growths, blockages,
mucous, yeast infections, excess weight gain, tumors, and vomiting. All
cancers have some Kapha imbalance, as Kapha creates growths.
Heavy, earth, cold, dampness, mass, wet, weight gain,
vomiting, tumors, blockages, and sluggishness (the earth and water elements).

cannot correct health imbalances, and the Root Causes of a disease.
Ayurveda goes to the heart of the problem, the Root Causes, and creates new
balance so that the body can heal itself. The body is a wonderful machine
that can heal itself if given the right basic elements to work with.
