God, thank you, that I am
still here,
Learning to deal with poverty
and fear
I never ever knew that life
was so hard,
Until I bought a house with
a mortgage & yard.
God, thank you, that I am
still here,
Learning to deal with poverty

I’m getting better, at working
through stuff
I paid off my car, and life’s
not so tough
God, thank you that I am
still here
I paid off my bills, and
I’m seeing clear
You never gave me bills,
that was my own design
And, now I have freedom,
and life is just fine.
God, Thank You.
